Original Art For Sale

Hey folks! Hope all is good!

In this post I am happy to announce that I am now selling some of my original paintings and drawings. I have been painting a lot recently and selling quite a few pieces so I am now putting some up in my online store for anyone to purchase. They have been moving fast, a few of my new batch have already sold so if you see something you like I recommend jumping on it quick to avoid.

The art ranges from small oil paintings to watercolour works to huge acrylic and ink pieces, so a little something for everyone whether you are looking for something small and affordable or large and expensive. Like I said so far each piece has had a good amount of interest so don't hesitate if something catches your eye.

I have just started some new paintings so when these current one's are gone it shouldn't be too long before some new one's are available. I will also be selling some limited edition prints which will be more affordable.

Below is a quick run through of the current Pieces up for sale. You can visit my online store here

Big Green Graveyard Skull Zombie Thing (awesome title eh?) Acrylic and Inks

Ghost Punk: Acrylic and ink

Hunter S Thompson, Watercolour and inks

Surreal Tree Landscape

more images to come.

New Artwork Prints

A quick video run through of my new artwork prints that just arrived this morning. I think it's sometimes better see them in video rather than a photograph so I decided to throw this together. I will be selling these at a good price very soon if anyone is interested, I am just looking for some good frames at the moment.

Last Man On Earth

An oil painting I always meant to finish but I have decided to leave it as is. This was kinda supposed to be the underpainting (bare bones) but I like it's subtle look so I will do no more.

Mark Lanegan Prints Arrived Today

‎2 Mark Lanegan prints arrived today. One on left is on a slightly glossier paper so holds the shadows better, the one on the right is on matt paper and seems to hold more texture but gives up the deep shadows. I can't decide which one I like better, I may try a watercolour style paper to get some more texture before I start selling them in my online store. I always take ages choosing the perfect paper for prints. Which one looks best to you?

New Mark Lanegan Illustration

Mark Lanegan watercolour and ink. This is the large full length version as the previous photo was cropped and taken with instagram on my phone. A print run will follow so all you Lanegan fanatics like me get in touch for an original piece of lanegan collector art. This is referenced from a photograph that I took of Mark in London a few years back. It's cool that it's not from someone else's photo, makes it more exciting to do for me.

Painting Experiments Video

This was originally a quick exercise for me to get back into painting after an arm injury but I ended up getting into it and really liking it. I’m not sure why I decided to film it, more just for my own reference I suppose. Was good fun to create any way.

I did do a full length (3 hour) video where I actually talked all the way through the process of painting and talked about other random crap which I may put out there at some point if anyone is interested, it’s much more in depth about what I was doing.

The sound recording is not great, I had a cold and just did it in one take without too much thought so I apologise if it’s not that interesting to listen to.

Also this is by no means a tutorial in anything as I don’t consider myself a teacher or good at painting/illustration but if it helps anyone then thats great.

New Mark Lanegan Painting

Mark Lanegan Painting. This is a new black and white painting I did of Lanegan. It's loosely based on a photo that Steve Gullick took of Lanegan a few years ago but with my usual expressive stamp on it. I did a small sketch of Lanegan a few years back that ended up oin his Myspace page where I didn't give him any eye's so I thought I would carry on that tradition in this piece.

The Original framed piece will be available for sale soon with a limited print run to follow. So if your a Lanegan fan or know someone who is, this could be an awesome gift or wall filler.

Cheers folks.

Oh also available for artwork commissions if you would like something similar to this.

20" X 16" on Canvas Paper. Watercolors, inks.

Red Fred (New Painting)

His name is Red Fred and he is a stand up comedian, a very funny guy. Just a regular dude from a different dimension.

Print will be available soon if you are interested.

I also shot a video on how I created this that I may put online at some point. This was originally a quick exercise for me to get back into painting after injury but I ended up getting into it and really liking it. Was good fun to create.

Josh T. Pearson, Portrait Illustration.

Josh T. Pearson, Portrait Illustration.

I decided to add to my portrait Illustration series with this portrait of one of my favourite musicians 'Josh T. Pearson'.

It is from a photograph I took of him in London last year and I always wanted to do some kind of painting of it but was waiting until I felt I could do it a bit of justice.

Mixed Media on paper.

See the whole portrait illustration set so far here

I would love to do an exhibition of these sometime if I do enough good one's.

Check out Josh T. Pearson here http://www.joshtpearson.co.uk/

Watercolour

A quick watercolour drawing on A3 Bristol board. I found that the Bristol board is the best paper yet that I have used with watercolours, nice and thick (not much warping).

Painting

A painting I did 2 years back. This was my attempt at trying to get back into painting after a few years of absence. It was an experiment really, just to knock off some rust. It not great but considering the circumstance it came out ok I think.

I have just started messing around with paints again and I hope that posting this will give me the inspiration to do some good work in the future.
