Catriona

This is a shot of my girlfriend Catriona who I photograph a lot. It took me a while to get around to posting this shot, for personal work I am usually about 5 months behind on editing, unless I feel its really urgent to get a photo done. I like it this way though as it gives you something to do when you have some spare time and its always refreshing viewing images from a shoot a few months back, seeing them with fresh eye's and letting the actual capture process not be too much a factor when processing/editing.

Anyway I really like this image of Cat and actually have a few decent shots from this shoot that I might post in the future.

Self Portrait Flash Test

A very rare self portrait. I just got my new flash and soft box delivered so set it up and gave it a quick test. I was the only person in the flat so had to use myself as the subject. I am really getting into lighting at the moment and really looking forward to getting many people in my home studio for some portraits.

I will post up all the results as they are created. I am going to document my experiments with flash to see what I can come up with and so that people can maybe learn a few things from my mistakes.

This set up is a Lumopro 160 speedlight shot through the Ezybox softbox from camera left. Simple.
